Business development associate and Sales rocket

We are a boutique company in international education with a big mission: we make a US education accessible and affordable for international students (cogitoworldeducation.org) and lead educational trips around the world (colibritraveltours.com). Based in Cambridge, we have several satellite offices and partners in over 50 countries, and in the US, work with more than 100 high schools and 300 colleges and universities. Cogito World Education helps international students find the schools here that fit best, negotiate scholarships, helps prepare and submit applications, and assists students with all aspect of their studies in the US.

Colibri Travel & Tours has recently organized several Faculty-led study tours.

We are currently working remotely and this allows us to hire interns from all over the world. We offer a for-credit internship with a small monthly stipend after the first (trial month).

Who are we are looking for:

If we were some corporation, I would say that we are looking for:

A self-motivated and open-minded Business Development specialist with analytical and leadership skills and proven results in sales.

But we are not a corporation and just like most people, we hate all that Corpo jargon so instead here is our version.

We are looking for business development and sales rocket (we couldn’t find a better name so here you go, and yes rocket not a rock star).

Someone who can help us put our sales and business on fireworks and set it off. Is that you?

Our business development and sales rocket:

  • Has endless ideas on how we can find new clients for both businesses
  • Is superbly organized and able to set clear goals and accomplish them
  • Loves writing newsletters with valuable content for our clients
  • Likes to interact with potential and existing clients: travelers, teachers, students, school reps
  • Loves to learn – all sales or business development webinars, podcasts are as interesting as a new Netflix blockbuster
  • Is extremely hard working and self-motivated

The interns:

Our interns are the most talented current students from all over the world. People with great drive and desire for success and constant learning. You will gain lots of professional experience, learn a lot, work hard but with flexible hours, and have fun achieving your goals. We require a minimum of 20 hours per week. Usually, our interns commit 25 – 35 hours and lots of independent learning.

The first month is not paid and after that, if you are a good fit for us and we are the right place for you, we offer a monthly stipend of $350 USD.
